报告人简介:
Bin Liu received his B.Eng. (2002) and M.Eng. (2004) in chemical engineering from the National University of Singapore and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of Minnesota (2011). He also worked as a postdoctoral researcher (2011-2012) in the Department of Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley. He is currently an Associate Professor in School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. Bin has extensive experience in synthesis of nanostructured materials and has been working on nanostructured materials for energy conversion and energy storage for more than 10 years.
报告简介:
Semiconductor-based nanomaterials have been widely studied as promising electrocatalysts for energy conversion and storage. Understanding the reaction pathways and active sites on electrocatalysts are of critical importance for the development of highly active electrocatalysts made of earth abundant elements. In this talk, I will give a detailed summary about our approach using various in-situ and ex-situ techniques including X-ray absorption, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoemission spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Rama spectroscopy, etc to study electrochemical reactions.
